PreSchool 3

Mrs. Niki Gormont
Mrs. Niki Gormont is eager to start her second year at Saint Aloysius. She has a Bachelor's degree from Neumann University along with a Masters in Education from University of Phoenix. She has been involved with children of all ages for over a decade.
Outside of school she loves spending time with her husband and four children.
Pre-K4

Mrs. Becky Shych graduated from Immaculata with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood. She is certified to teach N-3rd grade. Mrs. Shych is a Master Catechesis. When she first came to St. Aloysius, she taught First Grade for six years. She then helped open our preschool program. She has also taught Kindergarten and Three year olds, but most of her 41 years of teaching has been with her favorite age group- four year olds. Mrs. Shych is excited to begin her 19th year at St. Aloysius!
In her free time, Mrs. Shych enjoys creating things, reading, baking and spending time with her family. She and her husband have two grown married children. Last year they rescued a big black lab, Tucker, who is great company.

Pre-K4 - 3 Day

Mrs. Rachel Hudak
Mrs. Hudak has a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University along with a Masters in Education from Drexel University. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Elementary Education and Special Education. She has worked with children in public school, preschool and a virtual classroom for more than 8 years.
In her free time she loves to travel, read and spend time with her husband and two children. She is excited to start her first year at Saint Aloysius.
Kindergarten

Mrs. Sue Ann Dudek
Mrs. Sue Ann Dudek graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Elementary Education. Mrs. Dudek is going into her 35th year of teaching Kindergarten at Saint Aloysius! She continues to grow as an educator by attending professional development programs and workshops. She is a certified Project Lead the Way teacher. She is very excited to include STREAM in the Kindergarten curriculum.
She also teaches dance classes to the students at Saint Aloysius and is the lead choreographer for school shows and liturgies. Mrs. Dudek is a 2016 Hall of Fame Honoree recognized by the Foundation for Catholic Education and Montgomery County Catholic Schools Advisory Council. Mrs. Dudek is also a master catechist.
Mrs. Dudek, and her husband Joe, sent all three of their children to Saint Aloysius. This year, their grandson will be attending Saint Als as well!
Elementary School
First Grade

Mrs. Susan Kalil
Mrs. Susan Kalil graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Millersville University. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. She is also certified in Wilson Reading Systems and is a trained Project Lead the Way STEM teacher. Mrs. Kalil has received her master catechist certificate and has been teaching at St. Aloysius for over 20 years.
Second Grade

Mrs. Danielle Shilling, formerly known as Miss Moser, graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Pre-K thru 4th grade. She has a Masters Degree in Education from Holy Family University and is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Early Childhood. Mrs. Shilling is in the process of becoming a Master Catechist. She loves teaching Second Grade at St. Aloysius and is excited for another year to begin.

Third Grade

Mrs. Emily Haldeman
Mrs. Emily Haldeman is a graduate of Penn State Berks University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education PreK through 4th grade. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a Google Certified Educator. She also has experience coaching athletes at both the middle and high school levels. Mrs. Haldeman has taught Library/Technology, PreSchool 3, and now Third Grade.
Fun Fact: She attended St. Aloysius from Kindergarten thru 8th grade, and her dream was to teach at this school. She accomplished her dream and has been a faculty member since 2014.
In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband, two children, family/friends, and watching Penn State Football.
Fourth Grade

Jennifer Stewart graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education.She also received her Masters in Education in Development and Strategies through Wilkes University. Throughout her 16 years in education, she taught kindergarten and was a substitute for grades kindergarten through 8th grade for various school districts. Mrs. Stewart was also a long-term substitute last year for a 4th grade class in Methacton School District. She is excited to begin her first year at St. Aloysius! In her free time, she likes to watch her kids play soccer and baseball. She also loves to read, go to the beach, take their dog Luna to the creek, and spend time with friends and family. Go Phillies!!

Fifth Grade - Homeroom

Mrs. Janell Hogan
Mrs. Janell Hogan is excited to be part of the Saint Aloysius Middle School team. She received her BA in education at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas in 1985. She has taught for twenty years, some of those years were spent in the elementary grades and the last ten were in junior high. Fifth grade is one of her favorite grades and getting to spend the day with them is a true joy. She is very excited to meet her new group of fifth graders for the upcoming school year!
Sixth Grade - Homeroom
Math (5th , 6th & 7th) Science 6th, 7th & 8th) STEM

Ms. Lightcap graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelors degree in Education. She is certified to teach K-6 as well as Middle School Science in grades 7-9. Ms Lightcap has been in education for 18 years, 11 of which were spent at St. Aloysius! She is attending Immaculata University where she will soon graduate with her Masters. Ms. Lightap refers to herself as an "ice hockey mom". She enjoys watching her son, Jude, play sports and perform in school plays and musicals. She loves to go to the beach, and spending time with her family and two cocker spaniels.

Mrs. Amy Paulhamus has her Bachelor's degree in Education from Cabrini University and her Master's in Reading & Literacy from Walden University.
Besides spending time with her family & 2 dogs,
Mrs. Paulhamus loves vacationing at Myrtle Beach, reading, and taking photographs.

Mrs. Denise Lorenz has a Bachelor’s degree and Masters of Education from Saint Joseph’s University. She is certified by the commonwealth of PA in English and is a master catechist. She has been teaching in Catholic education for 21 years, 10 of which have been at St. Aloysius. Mrs. Lorenz loves teaching middle school and is excited for another year to begin.

Art

Mrs. Kathleen Lazaunikas graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and Aesthetics from Kutztown University. She is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Art Education and Aesthetics. Along with her many years of teaching she has been awarded the honor of being one of the Who’s Who Among American’s Teachers, designed the logo for the 2005 National Catholic Education Convention and the prestigious Gold Bell Ringers Award for Design in Philadelphia. Mrs. Laz is also master catechist.

Honors Math

Mrs. Leslie Jenschke joined the Saint Aloysius family in 2020. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics from Lock Haven State College and a Master's degree from Wilkes University in Curriculum and Instruction. She has over 25 years of teaching experience.
Mrs. Jenschke and her husband have two grown children and three grandchildren.

Music

Ms. Violet Mandic
Ms. Violet earned an Associates of the Arts degree in music from Bucks County Community College with honors in Summa Cum Laude and she became a part of the International Dean’s List Honor Society in 2012.
She graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelors of Music degree in Voice Performance with an honors in Summa Cum Laude and she became a part of the Delta Omicron Music Honor’s Fraternity.
She was awarded the Charlotte E. Newcombie Scholarship, the Founders Scholarship, and the Louise Moore Pine Music Scholarship.
Ms. Violet began her teaching career by teaching private lessons and then she later taught general music to Preschool and Kindergarten children at The Stages Academy in Furlong, PA.
Ms. Violet currently teaches private voice and piano lessons at The Conservatory of Music and Dance in Worcester, PA.
Ms. Violet also teaches 4th through 8th Grade music classes at Presentation BVM School. She is a Christian Contemporary Worship Leader at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Ms. Violet has taught students who have been accepted into the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts Charter School and who have competed in the Performing Arts Alliance Voice Competition.
She is currently working towards earning her certification in music education at Eastern University.
Physical Ed

Miss Katie Shrum graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She is currently working to obtain her Personal Trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Miss Shrum attended St. Aloysius School from kindergarten through eighth grade. She was an assistant track and field coach for both the St. Aloysius CYO and Pope John Paul II High School track teams for several seasons. In her free time, Ms. Shrum enjoys pilates, running, traveling, and playing with her dog, Grayson.

Spanish

Mrs. Cynthia Escudero was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, where she attended college at the Universidad de Guadalajara, and got her Bachelor of Business Administration focused on International Commerce and Trade. She is a native Spanish speaker and loves to share her language and culture.
In Cynthia's “free time” you will find her at some field hockey or soccer field cheering on her daughters (Cindy, Kyanni & Abby). She also loves spending time with the whole family (husband, daughters & two labs) on other activities such as camping, the beach and just hanging out.

& Library

Mrs. Deanna Cunningham joined the St. Aloysius family in 2019. She graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Elementary Education (K-8). She has been teaching in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for over 25 years. Mrs. Cunningham is both our Technology Teacher and Librarian! She has taught different grade levels, but her love of technology led her to become specialized in technology, which she has taught for the last 11 years.
In her free time, Mrs. Cunningham loves spending time with her family and creating things.
